Majority of Americans are Pro-Life

I read an interesting report this morning:

PRINCETON, NJ — A new Gallup Poll, conducted May 7-10, finds 51% of Americans calling themselves “pro-life” on the issue of abortion and 42% “pro-choice.” This is the first time a majority of U.S. adults have identified themselves as pro-life since Gallup began asking this question in 1995.  Click here to read the rest of the story.

The report also notes, “all of the increase in pro-life sentiment is seen among self-identified conservatives and moderates; the abortion views of political liberals have not changed.”

One response to Majority of Americans are Pro-Life

Much of the swing is the antagonist-related vote. So many people who are the “undecided” people, swing one way then the other depending on how “put out” they are with the current administration.

With a new amoral administration in power, backed by a complete ruling majority, the wafflers who have no moral compass, will swing back and forth depending on how other, more personal issues, have pleased them, or have aggravated them.

The number of true pro-lifers are reflected by the bottom of the scale…approximately 1/3 of Americans. The next 17 percentage points are the wafflers who are pro-life when it is convenient or a part of their “belief of the day.”
