Thoughts on Life

April 27, 2009 — 2 Comments

This morning, I read an interesting article on Kathy Ireland and her strong pro-life stance.

Very interesting to hear what she believes about life.

Yesterday, I delivered a message on the call of Jeremiah.

Very interesting to hear what God believes about life.

I was struck by the words the Lord spoke to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart” (Jeremiah 1:5).

In the womb, God formed us.

God formed you.

Before we were born, He set us apart.

Before you were born, He set you apart.

Paul affirmed the same truth when he wrote, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).

Life is precious.

Life in the womb is precious.

Your life is precious.

God formed you.  He desired you.  He planned you.

You are not an accident.

Life is not an accident.

Every life being crafted in every womb is a precious expression of God’s power, His purpose, and His passion.

On this truth God, Jeremiah, Kathy Ireland, and I all agree.
