A Porn-Again Christian: Part 3

I was going to spread these posts over three days, but there’s such an interest I’m going to go ahead and post them all now.

A Porn-Again Christian—Part 3

Disclaimer: Please do not start reading the eBook I’m recommending until you’ve read all three posts in this series, because this eBook is not for everyone.

Warning:  This post deals with issues of a sexual nature and is intended for a mature audience.

Driscoll ends the book with a fascinating transcript of Dr. James Dobson’s interview with Ted Bundy from the night before his execution, followed by an interesting section written just for, “Military Men and Other Men Who Like Prostitutes.”

Satan is a jerk and I hate what he’s doing to men of God (young and old alike) through the poison called pornography.  I thank God that he produced an anecdote for this poison long ago, called The Bible, but I’m also grateful that God used Mark Driscoll to make the anecdote even more understandable and accessible.  I pray that God will give us wisdom as we consider how to use this resource to do his good work in the lives of the men of His church.

That being said, before you read Porn-Again Christian, I’d encourage you to read a very important paragraph from the introduction:

I have written this booklet to discuss these matters in a manner that is both theological and practical, in hopes of contributing to each of you experiencing the power of the gospel to forgive, renew, and empower you by grace. Because I am speaking to fellow men, my tone may not be well suited for some women and, therefore, I would request that they not read this booklet, unless they are a wife whose husband has read it first and he can discuss its contents with her in love. For men wanting to encourage other men to lives of purity, I pray this booklet would be a useful and readable piece of literature that you could pass on to as many dudes as possible as a pedagogical tool for cranial-rectal extraction.
