Christmas Book List

December 21, 2006 — 1 Comment

I think you can tell a lot about a person by the book that’s on the nightstand next to his/her bed.

I have a lot of respect for Jason Cullum the Executive Minister at our church. He’s a good leader. He’s well-informed. He has good ideas and I think all of that stems from the fact that he’s also an avid reader, so when I saw that Jason had posted a “Christmas Book List” on his blog ( it caught my attention. And, yes . . . it didn’t hurt that my book made his list :).

How many of these have you read?

One response to Christmas Book List

First, I’m not surprised that your book made his list because YOU are the next Max Lucado.

Secondly, here are the books on Jason’s list that I have read:
    1) The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership
    2) Running on Empty
    3) The Tipping Point

Thirdly, here are 10 books that I would recommend:
    1) A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
    2) The Long Tail by Chris Anderson
    3) The World is Flat by Thomas friedman
    4) Revolution by George Barna
    5) Abba’s Child by Brennan Manning
    6) Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller
    7) The Emerging Church by Dan Kimball
    8) The Purpose Driven Life by the ubiquitous Rick Warren
    9) Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
    10) The Face by Dean Koontz

Fourthly, anyone who isn’t listening to audio books while driving in the car should think about it. I listen to three books a week (all free from the library). Seems like I only have time to read about ONE print book per week – if that.
