How do we know if something is a “good opportunity” or a “God opportunity”?
1) Have you prayed about it?
2) Are you listening for an answer?
3) What are your motivations?
4) Are there a push and a pull?
*Pleasure in the task is not proof that the call is from God. Jonah never loved serving in Nineveh, yet he was clearly called by God to that great work.
5) Do you have peace? Does your spouse have peace?
6) Are you encountering the calling at every turn?
7) What is the counsel you are receiving from wise Christians who know you?
Good words. I am currently in this tension. The push, the pull, the “already/not yet”. Many are called….few are chosen. I am trusting its not just a call but the make of “chosen” is also in place. I appreciate your heart for your people and for this community.
